Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has agreed to a new release clause with Italian Serie A side Napoli, potentially setting the stage for a future transfer amid ongoing interest from top European clubs, Soccernet.ng reports.
Initially, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis had set a €130 million release clause for Osimhen following his outstanding performance in leading the club to the 2023 Serie A title.
However, this steep fee proved to be a major obstacle for clubs seeking to sign the Nigerian star from the Diego Maradona Stadium, as it would have required a record-breaking financial commitment.
According to Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Napoli’s release clause has been reduced from €130m to €75m

The move also gives the Nigerian forward an option to break the clause for January in case top clubs approach him over a move.
