The Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners, NARTO, has suspended its planned nationwide strike.
Othman Yusuf, the National President of NARTO directed its members to immediately resume normal operations nationwide.
Their decision was reached after a two-day meeting with the Federal Government and stakeholders following the suspension of operations and stopped lifting of petroleum products by tanker drivers.

NARTO members had threatened a shutdown all over the country beginning Monday over the high cost of Automotive Gas Oil also known as diesel which is used to fuel their trucks for the movement of petroleum products across Nigeria.
Speaking at the end of the two-day meeting, Minister of State for Petroleum, Heineken Lekpobiri, said Marketers have agreed to raise the margin for freight, while the government on its part has agreed to immediately pay some outstanding bridging cost pending full reconciliation.
