The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, has highlighted the pivotal role of Nasarawa State in advancing Nigeria’s mining sector.
Speaking during a meeting with Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, and the Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, Mr Alake described the state as a crucial partner in unlocking the country’s mineral wealth.

In a statement issued on Sunday, his media aide, Segun Tomori, said the minister reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to harnessing Nasarawa’s vast mineral resources for national development.
Governor Sule, meanwhile, noted that reforms implemented over the past 17 months have begun to attract increased global investment in the mining sector. He acknowledged persisting security challenges but stressed the importance of continued collaboration with Mr Alake and the defence ministry to address them.
