The National Population Commission (NPC) has reassured Nigerians that the 2023 National Census will be credible, reliable and accurate.
Nasir Kwarra, Chairman of the commission, who was represented by Eyitayo Oyetunji, Chairman, the Public Affairs Committee of the NPC, gave the reassurance at a news conference in Cross River State.
According to Mr. Kwarra, with Nigeria projected to be the third most populous country in the world by 2050, the next census is not just important to Nigeria for planning, but also has international relevance.
He also said the census activities have no political undertones and are purely for data collection for national planning.
