Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted counterfeit $20 million during a stop and search operation along Abaji-Lokoja road, within the Federal Capital Territory.
In a statement, NDLEA Spokesman, Mr. Femi Babafemi, says the fake money was recovered from a bus enroute to Abuja from Lagos.
The driver of the vehicle, 53-year-old, Mr. Onyebuchi Nlededin, was arrested.

The agency also seized billions of Naira worth of illicit drugs from a warehouse in the International Trade Fair Complex, Alaba, Ojo area of Lagos State.
The seizure included 1.4m pills of tramadol; 3.2m pills of codeine; and nearly 3000 cartons of codeine syrup.
The illicit drugs have a combined street value of N4.82bn.
