NDLEA Seizes Drugs Worth ₦3.3 Billion Concealed in Imported Spare Parts

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has intercepted illegal drugs valued at ₦3.3 billion, including methamphetamine and a potent synthetic cannabis strain known as ‘loud.’

In a statement released on Sunday, NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, said that the drugs were concealed within automobile spare parts shipped from Canada.

The consignments were seized at the Tincan Island Port in Lagos, following months of intelligence-led surveillance spanning three continents.

The agency also confirmed the arrest of three businessmen in connection with the seizures. Investigations are ongoing.
