Senator Ned Nwoko has denied claims that he married actress Regina Daniels when she was 17, presenting her voter’s card as evidence. The senator said the marriage was conducted “honourably” when Daniels was 19, with her family fully involved.
In posts on social media, Nwoko stated that Daniels had told him she was 21 at the time of their first meeting and provided her voter’s card showing her date of birth as October 10, 1998. He said he has kept the document since that day to verify her age.
The senator clarified that the marriage took place six years ago, making Daniels 27 years old in 2025. He described claims that she was 17 at the time of marriage as “false and misleading” and urged the public to verify facts before accepting such statements.

Nwoko also questioned Daniels’ credibility, citing her alleged history of abandoning drug rehabilitation. He asked the public to approach her claims with caution, emphasizing that the verifiable records support his account of their marriage.
