Netanyahu Orders Military Raids After Bus Explosions Near Tel Aviv

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has directed the military to escalate raids across the occupied West Bank following explosions in three empty buses near Tel Aviv. Authorities are treating the incident as a suspected terror attack, though no casualties were reported.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority stated that the blasts occurred on Thursday night in the cities of Bat Yam and Holon, about 10 kilometres south of Tel Aviv. Police say identical explosive devices with timers were planted on five buses, but two failed to detonate. Investigators believe the bombs were intended to target commuters on Friday morning.

While no group has claimed responsibility, the Tulkarem Battalion, a West Bank-based militant group, posted a message on Telegram vowing to retaliate for Israeli actions. However, the statement did not directly link the group to the bus explosions.

Israeli security forces have launched a widespread investigation, increasing military operations in the West Bank. Meanwhile, Netanyahu has blamed Hamas for allegedly breaching the Gaza ceasefire agreement, further heightening tensions in the region.
