Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House this week to discuss the situation with Hamas, countering Iranian aggression, and strengthening ties with Arab nations.
President Trump, who recently began his second term, will receive Prime Minister Netanyahu on Tuesday, his first meeting with a foreign leader since returning to office. The discussions come amid a six-week ceasefire in Gaza, brokered with the help of Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, as part of a hostage-prisoner exchange.

Netanyahu faces growing pressure from far-right coalition partners to resume military operations once the truce expires in early March. However, Trump’s stance remains unclear. While a long standing supporter of Israel, he has also vowed to end Middle East conflicts and claims credit for securing the ceasefire.
