Shortly after assuming office as the new governor of Abia State, Mr. Alex Otti has directed that all accounts of the Abia State Government be immediately frozen.
He also issued the same order regarding the accounts of the government’s agencies in every bank and financial institution across the state and country.

Governor Otti’s instructions were announced Tuesday in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Ferdinand Ekeoma.
The governor has also directed the immediate dissolution of all boards of the State Government agencies and parastatals, and called for the chief executives of those organisations to hand over to those next in line to them.
