The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) says it will back Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
The move was announced in a statement on the NFF’s official website which congratulated the Government and people of the Kingdom of Morocco over FIFA’s decision to allow the North African country to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup finals with Spain and Portugal.

If Saudi Arabia’s bid is successful, this would be the first time that the World Cup would be hosted in the Middle East since Qatar hosted the 2022 edition.
Nigeria’s support has come as a surprising development that could potentially reshape the international football scene, given the nation’s influence in African football.
