The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has secured a residence in Abuja for Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle. According to ‘SCORENigeria’, the house is located in a highbrow estate in Asokoro, a move aimed at ensuring the coach lives and works in Nigeria.
Unlike his predecessors, Gernot Rohr and José Peseiro, who were mostly based abroad, Chelle is expected to operate from Nigeria. The Malian tactician recently returned to the country after a tour of Europe, where he met with several top Super Eagles players.

Chelle was appointed as head coach of the national team in January and is currently settling into his new role. His presence in Nigeria is seen as part of the NFF’s strategy to strengthen the team’s preparations and engagement with local football stakeholders.
The Super Eagles are gearing up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, where they will face Rwanda’s Amavubi and Zimbabwe’s Warriors next month.
