The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has announced plans to auction 15,325 litres of seized Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol, in a bid to ease transportation challenges during the festive season.
The announcement was made by Hussein Ejibunu, the National Coordinator of the NCS Operation Whirlwind, during a press briefing held on Saturday at the Customs Training College in Ikeja, Lagos.

Mr Ejibunu said the seized fuel, valued at ₦27.5 million, was confiscated during recent operations in Lagos and Ogun States. He further noted that Adewale Adeniyi, the Comptroller-General of Customs, has approved the auctioning of the product at a subsidised rate of ₦10,000 for 25 litres.
