Nigeria’s Super Eagles defeated Uganda 3‑1 in their final Africa Cup of Nations Group C match in Fès, Morocco, finishing the group stage unbeaten. The win secured Nigeria’s place at the top of the group with nine points from three games.
Paul Onuachu scored the opener in the 28th minute, and Raphael Onyedika added two more in the second half. Uganda scored a consolation goal through Rogers Mato but could not change the outcome.
Uganda played much of the second half with ten men after goalkeeper Salim Magoola was sent off for a handball outside the area. Nigeria maintained control to ensure a decisive victory.

Nigeria now advances to the round of 16 as group winners, while Uganda is eliminated. Tanzania and Tunisia also progressed, with Tanzania reaching the knockout stage for the first time.
