Stand-in Head Coach Daniel Ogunmodede has declared the Super Eagles B team’s determination to secure victory against Ghana’s Black Galaxies in Saturday’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying decider. The match will take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, with the winner earning a spot in the CHAN finals early next year.
Both teams played to a goalless draw in Accra on Sunday, leaving the tie finely balanced. Nigeria, who defended resolutely in the first leg while relying on counter-attacks, will need to adopt a more aggressive approach from the outset in Uyo.

The eighth edition of the CHAN tournament, reserved for players in domestic leagues, is scheduled to be hosted across Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda from 1st to 28th February 2025.
Saturday’s match is anticipated to be an intense affair, fueled by the fierce regional rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana, Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, and the stakes of previous CHAN encounters between the two nations.
