American rapper Darryl Dwayne Granberry, popularly known as DDG, has dismissed claims that Nigeria is an exceptionally dangerous country, arguing that the United States is more violent. He made the remarks during a recent livestream from Nigeria, where he is currently visiting.
DDG said while Nigeria faces security challenges, they do not compare to the scale of violence in the United States. He told viewers that crime exists in both countries but described the level of violence in America as far greater.
The rapper encouraged people considering a visit to Nigeria to go ahead, saying the country is not as unsafe as often portrayed. He added that his experience in Nigeria has been positive so far.
