Nigeria has been excluded from a purported list of countries facing an entry ban into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Monday.
The clarification followed widespread circulation of an unofficial memo claiming that Nigerian travellers would face restrictions beginning 13 April. The document, which also listed Egypt, India, Pakistan, and others, has been described by officials as false and misleading.

According to a statement issued by Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Saudi authorities have categorically denied issuing any such directive. The statement, conveyed through the minister’s media aide, Alkasim Abdulkadir, urged Nigerians to disregard the document.
Members of the public were advised to rely on official communications from the Saudi government, the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or accredited diplomatic missions when seeking travel information or planning journeys.
