Nigeria to Host National Cybersecurity Conference in July

The National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser and key partners, will host the 2025 National Cybersecurity Conference from 7–10 July at the Abuja Continental Hotel.

Backed by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, the event is themed “Building a Resilient Digital Future.”

The four-day summit aims to tackle Nigeria’s rising digital threats and develop a pipeline of skilled cyber professionals.

With over 134 million internet users and expanding 5G coverage, officials say securing digital infrastructure is now a national imperative.

Youth empowerment will take centre stage, as Nigeria’s predominantly young population—90% of whom are online—is seen as vital to closing Africa’s cybersecurity workforce gap, currently estimated at 68,000 unfilled roles.

The conference is expected to draw experts, policymakers, and global industry leaders.
