Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates have reinforced aviation cooperation with an amended bilateral air service agreement. The accord was signed by Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on the sidelines of the ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium 2025 in Abu Dhabi.

The ICAO symposium, hosted by UAE aviation chief Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, convened over 35 ministers, delegates from 191 countries, and 1,500 aviation professionals at the Emirates Palace, Mandarin Oriental.
According to Mr Moshood, the revised Bilateral Air Service Agreement builds on last year’s negotiations, ensuring reciprocal rights for both nations and fostering deeper collaboration in aviation. The move is expected to enhance connectivity and commercial opportunities between Nigeria and the UAE.
