Nigeria, UAE to Discuss Visa Challenges in Fresh Talks

Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates are set to engage in talks aimed at resolving visa procurement challenges faced by Nigerian travellers. The discussions follow a meeting in Abuja between the UAE’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Salem Saeed Alshamsi, and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu.

The talks will build on longstanding diplomatic ties and economic partnerships between both nations. The minister highlighted Nigeria’s commitment to the relationship, noting Dubai’s popularity among Nigerian visitors. Official figures indicate that around 12,000 Nigerians reside in the UAE, working across various sectors, including skilled professions and academia.
