The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has killed several bandits in a series of airstrikes in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The strikes targeted key hideouts of notorious bandit leaders in the region.
According to Zagazola Makama, a counterinsurgency publication, the operation focused on Ado Aliero, a well-known bandit leader, and his associate, Dan Umaru. Their networks and activities were reportedly destroyed during the offensive.
The strikes were carried out by the air component of Operation Fasan Yamma, an initiative aimed at tackling insecurity in the region. Intelligence sources disclosed that the operation neutralised high-value targets and disrupted plans for regrouping.
