NAF Strikes Terrorists’ Hideout in Lake Chad Basin

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says its air component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) has neutralised several terrorists and destroyed their food storage facilities in the Jubillaram and Tumbuns areas of the Lake Chad Basin. Olusola Akinboyewa, NAF’s director of public relations and information, announced that the strikes, carried out on November 23, targeted sites used as food hubs and hideouts linked to recent attacks, including the assault on Kareto troops.

Akinboyewa described the operation as a strategic effort to disrupt terrorist supply chains and enhance national security. He added that the successful airstrikes highlight NAF’s resolve to support ground forces and counter insurgency activities in the region.

The airstrikes, launched after careful intelligence gathering, aim to degrade the operational capacity of terrorists in the Lake Chad Basin. According to Akinboyewa, these missions demonstrate NAF’s ongoing commitment to vigorous air campaigns, both independently and in collaboration with security partners.
