Nigerian Airforce Receives Delivery of Six Super Tucano Jets

The first batch of A-29 Super Tucano, on Thursday afternoon, arrived at Kano from the United States.

The Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet announced this to journalists in Abuja.

The aircrafts, were received by Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi (Rtd), Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao.

The six jets are part of the 12 aircrafts to be supplied by the United States of America.

Their arrival is expected to increase the military’s capacity to combat insecurity in Nigeria.
