Nigerian-born bodybuilder Samson Dauda has won the prestigious 2024 Mr. Olympia title, marking a historic moment by claiming the largest prize in the sport’s history.

The event was held at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, culminating the 2024 Olympia weekend with an intense showdown among fifteen elite athletes who advanced from the pre-judging rounds.

Mr Dauda’s impressive victory placed him ahead of runner-up Hadi Choopan, while last year’s champion, Derek Lunsford, finished in third.

Alongside the title, the first placed Samson Dauda was honoured as the People’s Champion and awarded a staggering $600,000, the highest sum ever awarded in a bodybuilding competition. Notably, Arnold Schwarzenegger, a legendary figure, previously dominated the Mr. Olympia stage with six consecutive titles from 1970 to 1975.
