A Nigerian medical doctor, Olawale Ogunlana, has been named to the TikTok Discover List 2026, which highlights 50 influential creators worldwide.
Ogunlana, known online as @doctorwalesmd and founder of HealthKraft Africa, was recognised in the Educators category for producing videos that explain complex medical conditions in clear and accessible terms.
TikTok said the annual list features creators across five categories, including Icons, Innovators, Foodies, Educators and Originators, and aims to spotlight those shaping global culture.

Ogunlana, one of five Sub-Saharan African creators selected this year, said the recognition underscores the growing role of social media in expanding access to verified health information.
