The Omar Al-Mokhtar Ship Supervisory Committee says Nigerian national Okey Vitalis Nnorom, also known as Michael, remains in detention by occupation authorities, contrary to reports that he had been handed over to the Nigerian Embassy in Jordan.
The group accused the authorities of misleading lawyers and families about the activists’ whereabouts, saying Nnorom is being held alongside Moroccan, Algerian, and Spanish nationals. It expressed grave concern for their safety and urged immediate diplomatic intervention.

The committee called on the Nigerian and Libyan governments, as well as human rights advocates, to press for Nnorom’s release. The flotilla, part of the Global Freedom campaign, had been sailing to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza before being intercepted.
