Nigerian Navy Arrests 27 in Lagos Drug Raid

The Nigerian Navy has arrested 27 individuals in Lagos following a targeted operation against suspected drug peddlers.  

The raid, carried out by operatives from Nigerian Navy Ship Beecroft, focused on Gidan Drama, a location on Malu Road in Apapa identified as a hub for illicit activity.

According to Navy spokesman Lieutenant Hussaini Ibrahim, the suspects, comprising 24 men and 3 women, were apprehended during the coordinated sweep and have since been handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and prosecution.  

The operation is part of ongoing efforts by the Navy to support internal security and disrupt criminal networks operating along Nigeria’s coastal corridors.
