Nigerian Students Can Now Pay International Tuition from Naira Accounts as FX Liquidity Improves

Nigerian students can now pay international tuition fees directly from their naira accounts, with payments processed in as little as four working days—thanks to improved liquidity in the foreign exchange market.

Banks have confirmed renewed access to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Form A platform, which enables payments for overseas education, medical bills, and professional training through the official FX window.

GTBank informed customers on Monday that both undergraduate and postgraduate fees can now be settled using the platform, via the Trade System Portal. Lotus Bank echoed the update, noting the facility had remained open but saw reduced activity during the FX crisis.

Improved dollar supply has shortened processing times dramatically. Required documents include an admission letter, school invoice, international passport, and completed Form A.

The move follows the recent reactivation of international spending on naira cards.
