The Defence Headquarters says, troops of the Armed Forces and other security agencies, have in the third quarter of 2024 killed 1,937 terrorists inclusive of 65 terrorist commanders, arrested 2,782 suspects, and rescued 1,854 kidnapped hostages.
Addressing a news conference in Abuja on Thursday, the Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, says the offensive actions culminated in the death of several notable terrorist leaders, commanders, and combatants.

While revealing that the troops recovered 1,304 weapons, and 43,347 ammunition General Buba added that with the support the Military is receiving from State governments, troops will continue to intensify the fight against terrorists and violent extremists until they are completely degraded.
