Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have killed three senior commanders of the ISWAP terrorist group during a foiled ambush in Cross-Kauwa, near the Lake Chad region. The commanders were identified as Modu Dogo Munzir, an unnamed Munzir, and Abu Aisha, said to be a field leader in Tumbun Mota.
According to the military, eight other fighters were neutralised after the terrorists detonated an improvised explosive device and opened fire on a patrol team. A fierce gun battle followed, forcing the group to retreat, leaving behind weapons, motorcycles, ammunition, and supplies.
