Nigerians divided over Blessing CEO cancer fundraising appeal

Nigerian social media personality Blessing CEO has sparked widespread reactions after announcing she has been diagnosed with stage four Breast Cancer. The influencer made the claim in emotional videos shared online and appealed for financial support for treatment.

She said the condition was confirmed after further medical tests this year, following an earlier assessment that suggested otherwise. According to her, urgent surgery and treatment are needed, prompting her to seek help from the public while also taking personal steps to raise funds.

The appeal has drawn sympathy from supporters, but also scepticism from some Nigerians. Social media activist VeryDarkMan questioned the absence of verifiable medical evidence, while others raised concerns about inconsistencies in her explanation.
