The National Bureau of Statistics says Nigerians paid an average of ₦1,061 per litre for petrol in November 2025. The figure represents a 12.59 percent drop from the ₦1,214.17 recorded in November 2024, but a slight increase of 0.86 percent compared with ₦1,052.31 in October.
The NBS Premium Motor Spirit Price Watch shows wide regional disparities in petrol prices. Borno State recorded the highest average price at ₦1,133.86, followed by Sokoto at ₦1,118.83 and Kogi at ₦1,111, while Oyo State had the lowest average price at ₦997.39. Nasarawa and Lagos recorded ₦1,015.12 and ₦1,021.14 respectively.
Zonal analysis indicates that the North East recorded the highest average petrol price at ₦1,084.04, while the South West posted the lowest at ₦1,036.12.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority says petrol supply rose to 71.5 million litres per day in November 2025, up from 46 million litres in October. The Authority said national consumption also increased to 52.1 million litres per day, with domestic refineries supplying an average of 17.1 million litres daily during the period.
