Nigerian striker Edna Imade has signed a long-term deal with German powerhouse FC Bayern Women, though she will spend the 2025–26 season on loan at Spain’s Real Sociedad.
The 24-year-old forward, who impressed with 16 goals for Granada last season, has committed to Bayern until June 2029. Born in Morocco to Nigerian parents and raised in Spain, Imade’s rise through the Spanish football system has been closely watched.

Bayern’s Women’s Football Director, Bianca Rech, praised Imade’s technical quality and work ethic, describing the loan move as key to her continued growth.
Despite her standout season—including a Player of the Month award in December—Imade was left out of Nigeria’s WAFCON squad, a decision that drew criticism.
Eligible for three nations, her move to Bayern may now influence international allegiances.
