The Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria has entered a partnership with the Standards Alliance for Leadership and Innovation and the Regulatory Compliance and Risk Alliance to develop a national digital reporting platform. The move aims to modernise how companies report sustainability and financial information in Nigeria.
According to the council’s CEO, Rabiu Olowo, the platform will incorporate artificial intelligence tools to improve regulatory reporting and compliance. He also noted that strengthening digital infrastructure is essential to enhancing transparency in corporate governance.
The digital platform is expected to support regulators, investors and businesses by making reporting more efficient and accessible. Council leaders said it will help ensure that financial and sustainability disclosures meet international standards.
