The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs Jumoke Oduwole, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the private sector, positioning it for greater productivity and competitiveness in domestic, regional, and global markets.
Speaking at the opening of a two-day ministerial retreat on Monday, Mrs Oduwole highlighted ongoing efforts to drive economic diversification through targeted policies and reforms. These, she said, aim to accelerate industrialisation, digitalisation, creative arts, manufacturing, and innovation.

She noted that early successes were already being recorded, particularly in aligning fiscal and monetary policies to ensure greater coordination and synergy within the administration.
The retreat, she explained, serves as a platform to unveil the ministry’s 2025 roadmap, bringing together the Chief Executives of affiliated agencies and senior ministry officials for strategic discussions on the future of industry, trade, and investment in Nigeria.
