Nigeria’s Situation Improving Amid Reforms, Says Governor Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has highlighted a shift in Nigeria’s global perception, attributing it to recent economic reforms and initiatives led by President Bola Tinubu.  

Speaking at the 2025 Annual Thanksgiving Service of the Lagos State Government, held on Sunday at Tafawa Balewa Square, Governor Sanwo-Olu acknowledged the difficulties endured by Nigerians and Lagosians in 2024. However, he described the economic decisions taken by the administration as necessary steps toward long-term prosperity.

The Governor noted that while the reforms have caused immediate hardships for many, they are already yielding results, with public revenues on the rise and macroeconomic stability improving.  

Expressing optimism about the future, he predicted that Nigeria’s global standing would continue to improve, with the reforms paving the way for sustained growth and a brighter outlook for the nation.
