NIMC Completes Upgrade of Diaspora NIN Enrolment Platform

NIMC Denies Involvement in Sale of Personal Data

The National Identity Management Commission has completed an upgrade of its diaspora enrolment platform to improve National Identification Number registration for Nigerians living abroad. The commission says the new system will provide a more seamless, secure and efficient service.

As part of the initiative, NIMC has onboarded its Diaspora Front-End Partners and trained them on the use of the upgraded system. All partners have been instructed to activate their enrolment licences within 48 hours to continue offering services to Nigerians overseas.

Head of Corporate Communications, Dr Kayode Adegoke, apologised for any inconvenience caused during the upgrade. He said a dedicated service team has been set up to resolve all issues related to diaspora enrolment and urged affected applicants to contact the commission via [email protected].

Dr Adegoke also encouraged Nigerians who have completed their NIN registration to download the NIMC NINAuth App from the iOS or Google Play Store, which allows users to verify their NINs instantly, control access to their personal data and approve authentication requests.
