According to the FRSC, excessive speed and driver fatigue led to a loss of control, causing the bus to crash into a stationary truck. The injured victims were taken to Famobis Hospital in Mowe, while the deceased were deposited at Idera morgue in Sagamu.

Ogun FRSC Sector Commander expressed concern over reckless driving, urging motorists to observe speed limits and take mandatory rest breaks during long journeys. He extended condolences to the families of the victims and advised them to contact the Mowe Unit Command for further details.
