The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, says its president, Joe Ajaero, did not shun the invitation of the Department of State Services, DSS.
In a statement on Wednesday, Benson Upah, NLC Head of Information & Public Affairs, said as a law-abiding citizen, it was not in Mr. Ajaero’s character to disregard invitations from law enforcement agencies.
While calling on members of the public to disregard the report that the NLC President failed to honour the invitation of the DSS, Mr Upah added that in the days before he was arrested at the airport on his way to the UK, the NLC president interacted with the DSS Director-General on a courtesy visit.
