President of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Dr Ojinmah Uche, is calling on the Federal Government to privatise all Tertiary Healthcare centres in the country to reduce mass migration of doctors and for effective delivery.
The NMA President made the call at the weekend during the opening ceremony of the association’s General Meeting and Scientific Conference in Anambra.
He suggested 51% of shares be sold to core investors who will then be responsible for the day-to-day running of the institutions, while 30% should be retained by the Federal Government in order to maintain some control over pricing and policy.
