The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) on Sunday, 15th September, officially began lifting refined petrol from the Dangote Petroleum Refinery. This was revealed in a tweet posted on the official handle of Dangote Group on Sunday.
In a statement by Mr. Olufemi Soneye, the NNPCL Chief Corporate Communications Officer, the state-owned company deployed over 100 trucks, lighter vessels and personnel to the Dangote Refinery in Lagos for the lifting of petrol.

According to the statement, the NNPCL has also notified the Nigerian Upstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) that it would not be importing petroleum products from October if the price is competitive.
