The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has drilled four oil wells in the Kolmani area of Bauchi State, as part of ongoing efforts to expand oil and gas exploration in northern Nigeria.
Speaking in Kaduna at a forum organised by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, NNPCL Director Mr. Yusuf Usman reaffirmed the company’s commitment to deepening energy development in the region.

He disclosed that NNPCL is currently assessing the best technologies for the next phase of drilling.
In alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s push for cleaner energy, Usman revealed that five Compressed Natural Gas, CNG, and Liquefied Natural Gas, LNG, plants are under construction in Kogi State.
The plants are expected to improve energy accessibility and bolster gas infrastructure across northern Nigeria.
