National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu has refuted claims by Niger Republic’s military leader, Abdulrahman Tchiani, that Nigeria is collaborating with France to destabilise Niger. Ribadu stated there is no foreign military base in Nigeria, describing the allegations as false.
Speaking with BBC Hausa on Wednesday, Ribadu dismissed the tensions between the two countries as unnecessary and emphasised the need for cooperation to address common security threats such as Lakurawa, which has posed challenges to both nations.
