Nollywood actor Ray Emordi says he has stopped acting to focus on music full-time. The 35-year-old shared the announcement on social media, describing it as a difficult but necessary decision.
Emordi rose to fame through Nollywood films and YouTube productions, starring in titles such as Heaven on My Mind, Nneka the Pretty Serpent and Daddy’s Duty, which he also produced.
He has also worked as a director and producer. He says music has always been his first love. After teasing a debut single in November 2025, he revealed plans to release an extended play focused on dancefloor and club-friendly sounds.

The actor says his decision has caused tension within his conservative family. But, he maintains he will protect the family name and may still accept selected acting roles in the future.
