Veteran Nollywood actor Oyewole Olowomojuore, popularly known as Baba Gebu, has died after a brief illness. The Yoruba film legend reportedly passed away on Wednesday evening, prompting an outpouring of tributes from colleagues and fans.
Film director Kunle Afod confirmed the news on Instagram, describing him as a great legend and actor. Fellow stars Yemi Solade, Akin Olaiya, and Saje also expressed their condolences, praying for the repose of his soul.

Baba Gebu was widely respected for his decades-long contribution to Yoruba cinema, appearing in numerous classics that shaped the early years of Nollywood. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by his family.
