The public holiday, to be observed across all North-West states, is intended as a regional tribute to Buhari’s legacy. His remains are expected in Katsina by midday Tuesday, ahead of a burial slated for 2pm.
Condolences were extended to President Tinubu, Buhari’s family, and Nigerians. The Forum called for national prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul.
