The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has confirmed the recovery of two additional bodies from the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter crash in Port Harcourt, bringing the death toll to five. The crash, which occurred on Thursday, involved eight individuals – six passengers and two crew members.

NSIB Director General, Alex Badeh, revealed the updates during an interview monitored by Radio Now’s Newsdesk, adding that three people remain unaccounted for as search and recovery operations continue.

Mr. Badeh noted that there are slim chances of any survivors, as investigators work on the assumption that all on board may have perished. Recovery efforts for the helicopter wreckage are expected to take several days.
