Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) will begin receiving a revised monthly allowance of N77,000 from March 2025, the scheme’s Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, has announced.
Addressing Corps members in Abuja at the NYSC Zonal Office in Wuse Zone 3 and the Old Parade Ground in Garki, Brigadier General Nafiu attributed the delay in implementation to the late signing of the 2025 Appropriation Bill.

He commended Corps members for their dedication to the scheme’s founding ideals of national unity and development, urging them to embrace the values embedded in the NYSC Anthem.
The Director General also encouraged them to make use of the scheme’s communication channels to share concerns or suggestions that could enhance its operations. The allowance review is expected to provide financial relief to thousands of Corps members across the country.
