The National Youth Service Corps has warned corps members to desist from travelling without authorisation to avoid preventable dangers during their service year. NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, gave the warning while addressing the 2025 Batch ‘C’ corps members at the Orientation Camp in Edo State.
In a statement signed by the NYSC spokesperson, Gbenga Fanegane, the DG urged corps members to take responsibility for their personal security. He advised them to remain vigilant at their places of primary assignment and to avoid night journeys.
Brigadier General Nafiu also cautioned corps members to verify information before circulating it on social media. He further warned them to steer clear of cultism, cybercrime, thuggery, and other social vices that could threaten their safety.
