Nigerian rapper OdumoduBlvck has been named Leadership Newspaper’s Artist of the Year for 2024, capping off a breakthrough period that has seen his rise to the forefront of African hip hop.
The accolade follows a stellar year marked by commercial success, critical acclaim, and a growing fanbase both at home and abroad.

The artist, who shot to prominence with the hit single ‘Picanto’, attended the award ceremony in the company of his mother and members of his Anti-World collective, with whom he released a joint project last year.
Since emerging on the mainstream scene, OdumoduBlvck has become one of Nigeria’s most sought-after performers, drawing endorsements from international rap heavyweights including Stormzy, Skepta, and Rick Ross.
His style, a distinctive blend of streetwise lyricism and genre-pushing production, continues to earn him a reputation as a force in African music.
